Hospital Days

A day in the life of me in my super women t-shirt when I'm feeling good
and having a good day .........

Posing in front of my artwork on my way to chemo.

Sitting in the window seat of my hospital room being a great student
doing my school work, in between checking text messages.

Gets a little tiring, so a little nap now and then is kinda nice.

A little back poke, where they put chemo into my spine.

A bit more school work.

Sometimes a game with mom.

And then another snooze.

School

This is a picture of me and my teacher, Kathy. I go to school for 2 hours a day. And I go when ever I can. There usually is about 10 or less people at school every day. The school is in the hospital, so its real close. There's three main teachers: the high school teacher, middle school teacher, and the little kid teacher. Volunteers come in  weekly and help with students' school work. There's an art therapist that comes once a week, and does art with us for an hour, then some of the art work is put up in the hospital. There's also a volunteer that comes and does science once a week, and a different volunteer that does poetry once a week. On Fridays we usually play a fun game the last little bit of class. This helps me keep up with the school work back in Havre.

Thanks to All

Dad has been telling me all about the support that has been going on all over. It is hard for me to imagine it all, but it is exciting to know that there is so many of you behind me and supporting me and my family. It is heart warming. Thank you.

Ferry Ride

This day we went on a ferry ride to Edmonds which was thrilling
and very cold. Was really foggy so you couldn't really see anything.
I have really enjoyed spending time with nanma and mom. I feel
so blessed to have them helping me and loving me, even  during those
times when it's not always that fun. It's hard to imagine I'm sure, but
sometimes I'm not that fun to be around.

This is when we arrived in Edmonds and mom and nanma wanted to get a coffee.
We started talking with the owner who goes all over the world searching for good
tasting coffee. He just got back from a trip in New Zealand, which was really cool.
He was a really nice guy, and he quite often just gives away free coffee. He said he
was going to send nanma a bag of coffee.

Good Days

I have been feeling really good lately so we have been going out lots to get out of the house. And I've been able to get lots of homework done, so I'm slowly catching up on that. Its been really nice going out and having fun together. Nanma and mom have been pulling me to lots of shops. Its been really good me feeling good so I can eat lots while I can before I go in the hospital for another round.

Corn Maze

This weekend we were able to go to the corn maze. It was good to get out
for some fresh air. Was excited to stretch my legs, but got a little tied in the end.
Makes me appreciate my energy when I have it.

Here is my Nanma having a swing

Nanma and me trying to find our way out. Was a little harder
than we thought.

Getting warmed up with our apple ciders. We were going to go
on a little hay ride and get some apple treats, but we weren't able
to, as they only do that on the weekend. That was ok though.

Papa's Gift

So a few days ago I got a package from my grandpa "Papa". He had a tow into town and decided to go shopping for me. He went into a shop and bought a top, and a matching hat and scarf to keep me warm. It was so  sweet and special because he would never go shopping. Thank you Papa.

Outragous Kindness

They other day my dad called me and told me he had a conversation with someone he new. This person wanted to talk with my dad privately and that he was concerned for me, about losing my hair. He told my dad that he had been growing his hair for such a time and would cut his hair off for me so it could be made into a wig. I was totally blown away and it made me so happy to think that someone would do that for me. This season is so hard at times and it's like everything in me hurts, but if you look and sometimes it's hard to find, but there's always something good to be found in every situation.

Visitors

Had my Uncle Bob and Aunt Julie visit recently, they drove over from Spokane. They arrived with Krispy Kremes and lasagnas for us because I was supposed to be gaining weight or I would have to have a tube up my nose. We hung out at the hospital and played cards.

Then they all left me and went to Crab Pot for dinner. They came back and told me all about it, they said they had a lot of fun and they were really full.

When we were getting ready to leave the hospital Dad found the little kid bikes and decided to go around the halls riding it, he brought some smiles to some of the nurses.

Then since I was out of the hospital, we went to the Cheesecake Factory. At the Cheesecake Factory we had dinner (which was really filling) and then we had cheesecake (which we had to bring home because we were so full). Thank you Uncle Bob and Aunt Julie for visiting and for the fun times.

Thank You

I didn't feel good and I was a little bored this particular day, but it sure brightens your day when a surprise package arrives. I am so grateful and appreciative to all who send letters and packages. I find it hard to express how much all your support and prayers means to me and my family.
